Kyro and Shuriken, Sidewinder, Shuriku, Double Shuriken?

A kyro is a hyperhook that rotates back to complete. You can think of it like hyperhook + twist/gyro. One example of this would be a gainer kyro. You do a gainer, then moonkick, then twist to Complete(Technically, they can land in Mega, but let's ignore it to keep things simple). But their lies an issue: a gainer kyro is almost exactly like a shuriken cork. Think about it; A shuriken cork is a gainer with a twist and an outside kick. A gainer kyro is a gainer with a twist and an outside kick. So what is the difference?  Type of Kick For the sake of simplicity, let's just say that a shuriken is a "hyper-ed" crescent kick on an inverted trick. This would mean that the main factor separating kyros and shuriken is the amount of Hip Turnover . A kyro has a clear hyper hook, while a shuriken is an outside crescent.  Order of Variation Another way you can differentiate between a shuriken and a kyro is the order of your twist and kick. Let's compare a gainer kyro to a shu...

Inversion on the Raiz Chain: The Suicide Variation

What is the difference between a SideSwipe and a SuicideSwipe? A sideswipe is a Raiz + Swipe that lands in hyper. A SuicideSwipe is technically the same thing. The difference however is the amount of inversion. See, when trickers do a Gumbi, the "root" trick of the Raiz chain, they are usually fully inverted, or at least, they are within 45° of completely inverted. However, when transitioning to harder level Gumbi variations, they lose inversion and the trick becomes like a flatspin(Butterfly, Spyder, Janitor) or a laid back cheat kick. When it comes to Snapu's especially, most perform it like a laid back 540 Gyro. Some do their RaizTwist with so little inversion that they even decided to make a new name for it: Cheat 720 twist. A suicide stays on its invert axis. Rather than becoming a laid back cheat kick, it becomes a Gumbi variation. A SideSwipe is like a laid back 540 kick. A SuicideSwipe is done like a no-handed Gumbi Swipe. With this in mind, technically, all ...
